How were the BET Awards?

Did anybody watch them? If so, what were your thoughts?

I was in and out.. a couple things I remember.

Alicia Keys needs some dance moves. bad.
SWV looked "swoll" (Hey...her words, not mine. lol)
EnVogue looked good. Sounded good.
TLC... bless they hearts.
Chris Brown is one mannish lil mofo.
Ciara is fass.
Usher who?
Deborah Lee looked nice (and uncomfortable at the same time)
Kanye tried to put on for his city, but shoulda put down for a new microphone. Kid sounded TERRIBLE
Maxwell returns! And sounded good too.
Al Green shut shit DOWN... and that was just with "Let's Stay Together"... Love And Happiness was just an encore
Anthony Hamilton... Nuff respect.
Ledisi was in the crowd but shoulda got an award SOMEWHERE... (how da hell TLC got to sing and Ledisi didn't????)
Them Baldwin Hills kids need to learn to read a teleprompter correctly. (when you see a sentence on a teleprompter ending in '...' doesn't mean you read it aloud 'dot dot dot'... bless the chirren.)
Jilly is going for the Ms. Jack Davey look. Looks good on Jack...still on the fence on how it looks on her.
Scary Spice is still fine. But I know that no matter HOW fine a woman is.. there's always a man that's dot dot dot... nevermind.
That kid Neo was G'd up...brotha's suit game was proper. Dance routine was so/so.
Rihanna was lookin good... but why'd she go back to the 1993 Halle Berry Pixie cut? It looked good on her but she coulda done something different with it.
D.L. Hugley need his ass whooped. How you gonna call Marvin Sapp Warren Sapp. He need Jesus.
Nelly just wanted to show how hard he been workin in the gym and how hard he HASNT been workin in the studio.
Ashanti...was lookin good with them big ole thick legs... but could hardly move in that dress.. what da hell? Just cause it's tight don't make it right! Also.. who besides nelly even cares that you 'got that good good'? Keep that to ya-self hon.
Niecy Nash was looking nice with her lil adopted white kids. lol
T Pain couldn't get a ticket to the BET awards 2 years ago.. now he got an award. Gotta love that come-up

Is it me, or is Lauren London just another pretty girl with dimples? What's all the hype for?
Mr. Dirtyolman... AKA Quincy Jones was deservedly honored for his humanitarian/activism with a lifetime achievement awards.

Overall, not the best awards but not the worst either.

I was just sitting here watching the highlights on their website...I was happy to see SWV until I saw them... sigh....(maybe it was the camera angle)....lol... Then EnVouge....Yes!!! They looked good and sounded good...Alicia move ya azz offa the stage... I chuckled cause she tried to perform with EnVouge...she should have been takin notes... and TLC I sooooooooo wanted Alicia to get outta the middle...sigh(R I P Left Eye)
Jill Scott did not wooo me but I got love for her...and I was sooooooooo happy to see my babydaddy Maxwell on stage again.... Anthony Hamilton yes good to see and hear this classic brotha...
Now I am soooo unimpressed with Chris Brown(maybe I'm missing something) but that damn Ciara is a dancing somebody...wow...she reminds me so much of babygurl Aalyah...
Usher doing MJJ I wasn't impressed...now Rihanna was classy...I may even get her cd....
Thats all I've watched so far but over all I think they did a classy job on the show....The staging and lighting looks good...

I think the BET Awards were fabulous the talent was even better ever. The tribute to Al Green and Quincey Jones was spectacular. And it was a pleasant surprise to see Maxwell perform live he and Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton did very well. It was a must see they are still playing reruns on BET if anyone missed the show.
