Chenyelu Bomani (Chin-yay-loo Bo-mah-nee)
Born and raised in Detroit, MI. Chenyelu is a music producer, musician, spoken word artist, writer, storyteller and poet. Called "The Urban Griot" because his style embodies the West African Griots in presenting Spoken Word in social/political and historic contexts. His style of music has a global feel encompassing many genres and an eclectic groove designed to push the envelope of mainstream sound with his own brand of Bomani-ism.
