It was 38 years ago today that the music world lost a important figure.
James Marshall Hendrix made his transition at the young age of 27.
I'm doing a tribute earlier this afternoon from 1:30-4pm (CST) on "News From The Service Entrance."

We will also do a musical tribute to Motown producer Norman Whitfield,who passed away Tuesday afternnoon.

Later tonight on "The Dusties Party," DJ Andy will continue the musical tribute to Jimi Hendrix. 9PM - Midnight (CST)

I just want to spread some good news to you. The station that I work for WHPK, was recently voted the best college radio station in Chicago, in the Chicago Reader newspaper. (www.chicagoreader.com go to the "best of" section and look under "media" )

I'm so proud to be honored and to be a part of a station,that tries very hard to entertain and enlighten people with great music you can hear commercial free.
