Born and raised in Harlem, NYC Dymon-J was "bitten" by the poetry bug in January, 2005 when he experienced Open Mic Poetry for the first time in Bethlehem, PA. Already possessing writing skills of his own, he felt the urge to try poetry writing. The rest is history. Using life experience and the voice of anger in his head, His skills have evolved over the course of time. Although he knows he is nowhere near the same level as most of the friends he has made over his journey in the poetry world, he at least knows that he can fit in and hang with the best.
