All the strife in our daily life

Son's harassed based on hue of their skin

Instead of retaliation with a gun or knife

Constant persecution is a mortal sin

Barack Obama seeking to make a change

Witch hunts and back stabbers all around

He holds his head high above their range

Senator Obama shortly will be crowned

Injustice covers us like a shroud

Justice is blind to the truth

Corruptness lingering in a cloud

What message is sent to our youth

Power is knowledge ,faith, and wisdom

Succumbing to violence leads to jail

If not here on Earth,in Gods kingdom

I pray to God for justice to prevail

Your the Reason I Rise

Every morning when I rise
I praise God for blessing our love
Our love soars high as the skies


I can see heaven come alive in your eyes
It makes me know why I rise everyday for your love
I'm sure we can be proud of,true love never lies

Oh we've got so much, show much love
Blessed with another day to share
I feel the power of love hovering from above


We've got something to praise God for
I thank God for sending you
Our love is something I adore


Our love is like being on cloud nine
I'm grateful for marrying you
I'm thankful for you being mine


I feel love so true
Holding you, loving you
Our love chases away blue


People start to criticize
I pray for reassurance
I know God is on our side

Expectorating the daily slime

Through my poetic rhyme

Each stroke of my quill

Flushing away the landfill

Weapon of choice is my intellect

Bring on the next,issue and/or suspect

Pitching stanzas' from my bullpen

Captured on the paper linesmen

Oh it's on it's a prose filled wartime

Through my verse, I will restore peacetime

Jotting fiercely,extinguishing injustice

Slowly, steadily, achieving a poetic justice
