- Influences Just One has been mastering his craft since the early age of 7. Growing up grooving to the sounds of Parliament, Prince, Michael Jackson, Bobby Womack, and Al Green, and coming to age reflecting on the melodies and metaphors of Rakim, Run DMC, and Africa Bambataa, he was heavily compelled to live in a realm of music. In a time when many of his peers were choosing a life of crime, he realized his dream and found an influential love for performing. After being entered in a talent show as a break-dancer by his mom, he had his first taste of the stage and the audience and loved it. By age 16, he discovered that he was developing into both a gifted lyricist and football player. Reaching a crossroad, Just One chose entertainment; though the path hasn’t always been easy, he has no regrets about his decision to pursue music. This multi-talented emcee has made cameo appearances in the films The Last Castle, starring Robert Redford, Civil Brand, starring Lisa Raye and Mos Def, and Second Chance. He is a player in the theater company Dream 7 and has performed in the original plays Glimpses of Choices, Cultural Millennium, and Gospel. Just One was of the featured artists in the conglomerate effort, entitled The Campaign, a grassroots promotional tour designed to catapult the performers and their music as independent artists, and the Left Thought Productions 8 Elements Compilation. Just One is currently working on the movie The Cross-Bone Click produced by T-Mac Productions and preparing for the upcoming release of his debut solo album Just One Journey, with hot releases including Gim’me What You Want, and Macknetic Man. Just One enjoys the melodious electricity of performing with live bands and views his music as thought provoking, a catalyst for better living, and a platform to change humanity. In all things…… God Willing……the sky is the limit.
