Raine Torae is the also the Host of the Soul 4Real Live Band Open Mic Night for all Singers (R&B, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Clean Rap, etc), Musicians, Spoken Word Artist & Comedians, every Tuesday 9pm-2am w/a featured artist performance @11pm. You are are guaranteed to find nothing but some amazingly talented artist performing, having a great time and networking. Come visit us @ the Shrine World Music Venue located @ 2271 Adam C. - Raine Torae is a Singer/Songwriter/Actress and the CEO of Xquisite Solutions, an Events, Marketing and Promotions company. When not spending quality time with her son, writing, recording or gigging, she is probably at work as a freelance set or office production assistant or coordinator. She's worked with major production companies and advertising firms on films, specs, infomercials, and photo shoots with well known cinematographers etc. She worked as the executive assistant to the executive producer of several major concerts / awards /shows / events at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NY.
Raine was Born and raised in the Bronx, New York and is now a resident of Harlem, New York. She believes Harlem is currently experiencing a 2nd Harlem Renaissance and says it is great and the best place to be. She LOVEs HARLEM LIKE She LOVEs MUSIC. With all that said, Raine is 1st and foremost an Artist whose had the desire and ability to sing since she was 7 yrs old. Never believing that she could do it, it was just a dream that you never believe could happen. She picked it up several times and put down several times and picked it back up again. Now it's "Aint No Stopping Me Now, I'm in the Groove" and she is preparing to record and release an album in 2009 under the supervision of Roy Ayer's Musical Director, Marc Adams (Not that Roy is not his own MD because he certainly is, Roy Ayers is the MAN) with Mr. Donald Nicks, Roy Ayer's seasoned incredible bass player/seasoned musician who has been with Roy since 1990.
