- Born and raised in Pontiac (The Yak!) then moved to the burbs. I love Soul, Old Skool, R&B, Funk and Jazz. My father was a big lover of Motown and that had an influence on me. Don't get me wrong, my father listened to everything to Anita Baker to Johnny Cash. I do remember him whipping out the vinyls every weekend and jamming out, especially during the summer. So I definitely got my love of music from him. Respect the vinyl! Now my favorite artist is none other than His Royal Badness, Prince. If you ever get a chance to see him live, do it. You will not be disappointed, trust you me. I found this site on accident and I am hoping to find some good smooth soul. So thanks for welcoming me to the family!
