- Actually I'm an "indie" artist although I have done projects for the BBC, Dutch national radio & TV..currently my vocals are being heard on commercials here for the National Lottery ["What A Wonderful Life!-see playlist below] and [Dutch] Discovery Channel.
On New Year's Eve [31-12-08] I will be appearing at the world-famous Paradiso in Amsterdam as EMcee of the newest, hottest sensation in Holland..the Burlesque Review [classic 50's style]
Show starts exactly at midnite in the main hall.
In 2006 I was lucky enough to record and perform with the Jimmy Lunceford Legacy Orchestra, former house band of NYC's famous Cotton Club..now at home, like me, in Holland.[!]

My how time just flies by.... my daughter got married in July and now she tells me I'm going to be a Grandad this summer ....I mean..I just can't imagine!
Anyway....I just converted the extra bedroom into a home studio..bought a new Cubase program and began learning how to do some home recording.
This is my first attempt...and I'm sure it can be improved!
The Nearness of You is an old classic and I thought I'd try to put it in a new suit...while keeping true to the emotional truth that Hoagy Carmichael was trying to convey in the original?. I hope somebody out there enjoys it...

Didn't mean to be out of touch for so long but ..hey..you know what they say about Life and making plans [best to way make God laugh is to make plans..]
I assure you the reasons for my communal were justified..working to pay the rent as well as the music. Fortunately for me..the bills are paid now and the music is coming easy, too.
Note the new pic for my bio..tasken at the Amsterdam Comedy Club [19 July]. I am now the semi-regular EMcee for their Burlesque Freakout which is 50's striptease and 60's Motown meets Vegas meets Josephine Baker meets pre-war Berlin cabaret. Meanwhile..my daughter gets married this Thursday so I'm about to pack for the flight.
