- Seems like I've been around music my whole life. Started out in college radio for three years doing a quiet storm show at Penn State university. My first professional job in the business was at a Philadelphia record company called Alpha International records, the record company of Sigma Sound studios. We had soul artists like Lorenzo and Robbie Mychals. I was in charge of all of the film and video aspects of the company, directing videos and promoting them. Makes me think about the old days of B.E.T. working with Donnie Simpson, Sherry Carter and all the rest. (What happened to B.E.T.?)
Finally got the chance to direct music videos on my on, for artists like Marion Meadows and Da Youngstas. The goal for me has always been to direct feature films. I have written plenty of film scripts and I'm still working towards that goal.
Currently I am the manager of one of the largest independant record stores in the country, Sound of Market in Philadelphia. We have become the friend of all independant music. 2 large floors of all the music you could be looking for, we are deep in catalogue and hard to find music. For the music lover, this store is your paradise. For the artist and label, this is your kind of outlet, a store who specializes in soul music with fans and customers who love it! If your ever in town, come on through.
