- I began writing life as I lived, saw, and felt it in a genre of poetry I call “Kai (life) Poetry”. I believe that just like the great and all mighty Creator breathed life into our existence that I breathe life with every word I speak from poems "The Revolution", "Imagine That", and "Changing Faces" on stages from Chicago's Negro League Lounge to The Hawaiian Poetry Slam (the country's largest poetry venue). In a process of speaking life I have been involved in a series of creative initiatives and have created venues, some successes and failures, founded what is now known as The STORM in June of '07 hosting the famous Freedom Verse Café as it is known today.
I only strive to continue to be a vessel of life…
